Some settings will be controlled by Penji and some will be controlled through the Admin Panel. If you would like to change/update a Penji-controlled setting, listed under the header "Penji Controlled Settings", please email support@penjiapp.com to update the setting. Please include what school you would like this to apply to.
To note, school-level settings apply to ALL communities. To adjust admin panel School-Level settings, you'll log in to the admin panel > select your school name listed under the header, "Schools" > settings tab.

Penji Controlled Settings
Onboarding Default Community
You have the option to select one community for your user's "default community". When they log in to the mobile app or web.penjiapp.com they will be directed into this default community automatically. If you do not select a default community, it will be either the community the user first selected when they logged into Penji (logged in for the first time > selected a community to join) or the oldest community at the school if they did not select a community.
Allow User to edit their name
We can "lock" the ability for students to edit their name on the mobile app or web.penjiapp.com (log in > select their profile icon > edit profile). Names will be locked based on the student file (student.csv) we receive from IT or the file that is manually uploaded on the admin website.
Settings
Turn Off Chat
Chat is on by default. You have the option to hide and disable chat from users when they are on the mobile app or website (web.penjiapp.com).
Admin Users
Anyone who has school-level admin access can add or remove school-level admin users. When you add a new Penji Account as an admin, the new user will get an email with a link to create their Penji account and accept admin access. That email will be shown under the "Invites" header until they have accepted their invitation.
If the new admin already has a Penji Account, all they need to do is log in to https://admin.penjiapp.com/ with the same Penji credentials as from http://web.penjiapp.com or mobile app. Every Penji user has the same account but is given different "roles". Penji has four roles: Admin, Limited Admin, Student, and Provider.
