Skipping Sessions in a Weekly Series
You can add "Skip Dates" to a weekly series for group appointments, 1:1 appointments, and Sections (both admin-managed and provider-managed).
- When a session is skipped, the provider's availability for that time is restored, allowing other students to book during the skipped session.
How to Add Skip Dates (Admin Panel):
- Go to the Sessions tab in the Admin Panel.
- Select Edit for any row in the series (it doesn't have to be the exact date you want to skip).
- Click the empty Date field and choose the date from the calendar pop-up.
- Click + Add Date and confirm the skip date.
Notifications:
- Students and providers in the series will be notified that the session was canceled (skipped) and it will be removed from their calendars.
Created vs. Planned Sessions in Recurring Series
- Created Sessions: These are the next scheduled events that exist in your data. A session is "created" once the provider submits the feedback log for the current session.
- Planned Sessions: These are future sessions that have not yet been "created."
How Skipping Works:
- If you skip a created session:
- The session's status changes to Canceled, with the reason marked as "Skipped."
- The next session in the series is automatically created with a status of Scheduled.
- If you skip a planned session:
- The session will never be created or appear in your data.
- The next session after the skipped one will be automatically created.

Planned Sessions
When you skip a future event in the series, that session will not be created or appear in your data. Instead, the system will automatically create the next available session after the skipped one.
Example:
- Today is 1/6/2023, and there is a weekly series that meets every Saturday. The next session is scheduled for 1/7/2023.
- If you skip the session on 1/14/2023 (a planned session), it will never be created.
- Once feedback for the 1/7/2023 session is submitted, the system will automatically create the next session on 1/21/2023.
In this case, the 1/14/2023 session is skipped and does not appear in the system.
