Your Penji environment will have at least one mode of support (appointments, drop-in, sections) turned on. Now, how do providers add availability?
General Calendar Editing Notes
Appointment and drop-in calendars are edited independently - providers do so on the Teach screen, admins do so in the admin panel. When students search for support in a given mode, our system looks up the relevant provider calendars that have been entered.
Providers can edit their availability at any time unless availability editing is locked in admin settings.
As of now, providers cannot edit availability more than seven days in advance, although a feature is planned to allow admins to set "provider unavailable times" in the future.
- For example, whatever you set your availability to on Monday will repeat for next Monday and do forth until updated.
An optional notification may be sent to program admins when providers adjust their calendars (a Penji-controlled setting)
Admin Editing of Provider Calendars
Program admins edit appointment calendars and drop-in calendars in different places.
- Appointment calendars are edited in the Providers tab. Click on a specific provider then click "Edit -> Edit Appointment Availability".
- Drop-in calendars are edited under the Drop-in heading in the tab labeled Tutor Hours. Each row of this table corresponds to a provider's calendar for a given drop-in location; you can edit those existing rows, but if a provider hasn't yet added hours for a certain drop-in location, you'll have to do so by clicking "Add Hours" at the top of this table.
