Card Reader Summary
Penji supports the use of card readers for streamlined student check-ins and check-outs. This feature is available for Kiosks in both Drop-in and Events mode, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for tracking student attendance.
Many IT Departments will provision you with your school's standard card readers upon request. But if you're looking to purchase new card readers, we have a recommended the model linked here. Once you have your card readers, we'll either work with you directly or your IT Department to get them set up!

Example images of how the Check-In and Check-Out screens will be shown to students when a card reader is enabled (note: only Drop-In Mode requires Check-Outs, Event Mode does not).
Supported Use Cases
Card readers can be used in the following scenarios:
- Drop-in Kiosks: Students can check in and check out using their ID card.
- Event Kiosks: Students can check in and check out at an event using their ID card.
