Providers: Events Group Chat

The Events Group Chat in Penji allows tutors and participants to communicate in real-time within an event. This feature enables seamless coordination, instant updates, and interactive discussions before, during, and after an event.

Accessing the Group Chat as a Tutor

1. Navigate to the event where you are set as a tutor or host.

2. Open the "Teach" tab and locate the specific event (e.g., Study Skills 101).

3. Click on the new button labeled "View Event Chat Room".

4. Start a new chat by clicking on the appropriate options.

5. You can also attach images or files to your messages.

Receiving Notifications

1. Tutors receive in-app notifications for new messages from students.

2. Notifications appear as a small bubble in the Penji app interface.

3. Clicking on the notification will take you directly to the chat room.

4. The system maintains a full list of recent communications and alerts for reference.

Common Questions & Troubleshooting

• Q: Can I see messages sent before I joined an event? A: Yes! The full chat history is available once you join the event.

• Q: How do I know if someone has sent a new message? A: You will receive an in-app notification and see a small alert bubble in the chat section.

• Q: Can I send attachments in the chat? A: Yes, the chat supports images and file attachments.
