Can we choose our own Engagement email dates and number of emails?

Yes. When you create a Penji Engagement Campaign, the system will automatically suggest:

• A start date and end date based on the term

• Three recommended email send dates

All of these are fully editable. You can change the dates, remove emails, or add additional emails to customize the campaign to your needs.

How are courses displayed in Engagement Emails?

By default, Penji displays only the portion of a course name before the first hyphen (-) when using the {{Courses}} variable in Engagement emails.

For example:

If the course name is:

ENG101-N1

The email will display:

ENG101

Why?

Many institutions structure courses like:

• ENG101-TeacherA

• ENG101-TeacherB

• ENG101-Section01

If the full name were included, emails could become repetitive or cluttered when multiple sections exist. Trimming after the first hyphen keeps messages clean and student-friendly.

If a student is enrolled in multiple courses within the same community, will they receive multiple emails?

No. The student will receive one concise email with information about their courses. Here's an example of what it might look like:

If a student is enrolled in courses across multiple Communities, will they receive multiple Engagement Emails

Yes. Students receive separate Engagement emails for each Community they are enrolled in.

However, if a student is enrolled in multiple courses within the same Community, they will receive one consolidated email that includes all relevant courses from that Community.
