- Provider: Sometimes referred to as a tutor, consultant, coach, or advisor. This is the person you book for academic support.
My tutor did not show up to my session
Problem: Your tutor did not show up for the session as scheduled.
Solution: Contact your program admin immediately to report the no-show. They will assist in rescheduling the session or finding a replacement tutor.
What happens if I miss a scheduled session? (No-Show Policy for Students)
Problem: You missed a scheduled appointment with your tutor and aren’t sure what the consequences are or what to do next.
Solution:
We understand that things come up, but to respect everyone’s time and keep tutoring slots available, many communities enforce a no-show policy. Here’s how it works:
What counts as a no-show for students?
A no-show happens when:
-
You don’t attend your scheduled session (in-person or virtual), and
-
You don’t cancel the session in advance.
Do all communities have the same no-show rules?
No—each school or program may set their own no-show policies.
Some may issue immediate restrictions after one no-show, while others allow more flexibility. If you're unsure, check with your program admin or refer to any guidelines shared by your center.
What happens after a no-show?
Depending on your community’s policy:
-
Your ability to book future sessions may be temporarily restricted.
-
You may need to contact your admin to regain access.
Will the session disappear if I don’t attend?
No. Even if you don’t show up, the appointment will remain on your calendar and be recorded as a no-show unless you cancel it in advance.
What should I do if I can’t make a session?
-
Cancel the session as early as possible in the app.
-
If it’s close to the scheduled time, try to message your tutor directly.
-
If something unexpected came up, you can contact your program admin to explain your situation.
Will I get reminders?
Yes! You’ll receive email or app reminders before your session. Make sure your notifications are enabled so you don’t miss them.
Who can I contact if I’ve been blocked from scheduling?
Please reach out to your program admin (listed on your community page) for help lifting any restrictions or clarifying your center’s no-show policy.
