Admins can add custom buttons to the left-hand sidebar of their Admin Panel. These buttons can be used to provide quick access to frequently used resources such as:
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Internal documentation
- School websites
- Staff resources
- Knowledge bases
- Other external tools or webpages
Once added, these buttons will appear in the Admin Panel sidebar for admins in your community, making it easier to navigate to important resources without leaving Penji.
How to Add a Custom Sidebar Button
- Log in to the Penji Admin Panel.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Under General, scroll down to the Admin Panel section.
- Locate the area for Custom Sidebar Buttons.
- Enter:
- The Button Label (the text that will appear in the sidebar)
- The URL you would like the button to open
- Save your changes.
The new button will now appear in the left-hand Admin Panel sidebar.
Notes
- Custom sidebar buttons can link to both internal and external webpages.
- Custom sidebar buttons can be made visible to all Admin or just Full Access Admin
- Multiple custom buttons can be added to provide quick access to various resources.
